A pretty succulent, native to Madagascar, which grows to a height and width of about 40cm. It is grown for its lovely, red, bell-shaped flowers that bloom in Springtime. It prefers a shady position and should be protected from afternoon sun. Water moderately in Spring and Autumn, more regularly in Summer (allowing to dry out in between waterings), and keep fairly dry in Winter. This plant does not like the cold so is best kept indoors in a cold Winter environment. It makes an excellent indoor plant and is also good in a container, rockery, or as a groundcover.
