This variety from South Africa differs from the type by having a purple colouration towards the tips of the leaves and by the generally darker colour of them. It grows in the Winter rainfall areas under the shaded protection of bushes. Protect from strong light and do not over water during the dry Summer months. Grow in a freely draining soil mixture.
