Native to Paraguay, Bolivia, and Brazil, this cactus grows to about 10 cm in height and up to 15 cm in diameter. It may grow as a single stem or offset to form clusters. It has flowers that may vary in colour from white, to pink, to violet, and it produces blooms all year round. An easy-to-grow plant, it likes a sunny position in well-draining soil and is fairly frost tolerant if kept dry in Winter. Protect from hot afternoon sun.
