This Mexican native grows as flattish spheres, mostly below soil level, to a height of 14 cm and a diameter up to 19 cm. It may grow as individual stems or in clumps. It has large pink flowers in late Summer and Autumn. It needs a sunny position in well-draining soil with careful watering. Keep fairly dry in Winter.
