Cephalocereus senilis

NEW!! This popular columnar cactus is commonly known as the “Old Man Cactus” due to the abundance of wool which grows near the tops of the stems. It is native to Mexico and can reach a height of between 6 and 15 metres. The funnel-shaped flowers are pinkish in colour and bloom at night. It needs plenty of light and may be grown inside or outside in well-draining soil. Water regularly in Summer, allowing the soil to dry out inbetween waterings, and keep fairly dry in Winter.
