This well-known and popular Agave is a small to medium growing plant that develops a rosette to a diameter of about 70 cm. It rarely offsets to form clumps. The leaves are dark green and show a range of white markings on the surface. The margins are white edged and smooth. The flower spike develops to a height of about 4 metres and the flowers are cream coloured with a tinge of red. Grow in a sunny position in well-draining soil.
