Browningia

Browningia is a genus of cacti native to the South American countries of Bolivia, Chile and Peru. They grow as tall columnar cacti up to 10 metres in height and eventually obtain a tree-like appearance. Their flowers range in colour from white to red and bloom at night. They prefer a sunny position in well-draining soil, and require regular watering during Spring and Summer. The soil should be allowed to dry out between waterings. They are not tolerant of low temperatures.
